During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been an upheaval in the lives of many. People have been forced to decide what truly matters to them. Mental health, work-life balance, and upholding relationships have become commonalities in everyday conversations. As we attempt to return to a world of normalcy, there has also been an increase in awareness in regard to discrimination, health disparities, and reproductive rights. "Choices" is an attempt to capture the mindset of an average woman in my community based upon public and private conversations.

Dr. Richard Whittington is a Chicago-born artist who excels in watercolor painting, photography, mixed media, and digital art. He has also authored several publications and has 18 years of experience as a biologist and educator. Richard’s work reflects his deep passion for the natural world.  Through Richard’s unique ability to combine science and art, he not only inspires audiences to appreciate and care for the environment but also to recognize the value of human life within it.
